The River Ebro is the longest river flowing
entirely within the Spain. It rises in the Cantabrian Mountains in the
north and flows roughly south for 910 km before reaching the
Mediterranean Sea where it forms the Ebro Delta. It has established a
reputation as one of the best course fishing rivers in Europe. There
are massive stocks of fish: carp, barbel, zander and the mighty wels
catfish which frequently weighs in at over 100lbs.
River Ebro Apartments are located on a street which runs along the river bank in Mora d'Ebre. There is about 200yds of easily accessible bank literally a minutes walk away. If you have fished the Ebro before or you're an independent type who likes to 'go it alone' you may be quite happy to explore the river yourself. If that is the case, you can bring your own tackle and we have a garage where you can safely store it when not in use. On the other hand, you may want to consider having at least a day or two of guided fishing to give yourself the best chance of that dream catch. If so, the nearest guides live on the next street and have their boat moored right outside our apartments. You can book from a single day to a whole week - it's entirely up to you. Tackle hire is also available if you don't want to bring your own.

Of course, there are miles and miles of riverbank to choose from, so you may not want to limit yourself to the swims around Mora. If you are hire a car, you will find that Mora is a great central base to reach some of the prime fishing spots up river at Flix, Riba-Roja and the dams or downriver towards Xerta, Tortosa and onwards into the delta. That's the advantage of not being tied to an inclusive package of fishing guide and accommodation – you have more freedom to organise your holiday how you want it. Whichever way you plan it, for a first rate fishing experience amid beautiful surroundings and Mediterranean weather the magnificent River Ebro is hard to beat. Apart from fishing this area
offers a wide
range of activities and interesting places to visit- cycling,
walking, birdwatching, canoeing, horse riding and golf are all other
options. And being only 30 minutes from beaches on the Costa Dorada,
River Ebro Apartments are a great base to combine a beach and
countryside holiday. Port Aventura Theme Park is also only a 45
minute drive. So you anglers with wives and families why not do what
many other families have done and have a family holiday here combined
